French wine is world renowned for its quality and its diversity, a reflection of the singular richness of our terroirs. A 15 minute walk from your hotel, along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, you will find an extraordinary wine merchant, the famous Les Caves de Taillevent. With more than 2,000 wines and spirits, including a “mere” 300 from Burgundy, this shop has what it takes to make all your colleagues green with envy. After being greeted by the manager Gaëtan, I was truly impressed by so much knowledge and elegance. The location is magnificent and exquisite, with all its treasured displayed with care. And the guardians of this precious temple are up to the task. Their class and humility make for a wonderful blend!
The prices vary a bit… ranging from €14 to €17,000 for a Côte-Rôtie and €20,000 for the honourable ancestor of the site, an ageless cognac dating from 1802! Good to know: free tastings are organized regularly, available by reservation. Tailored tastings are also available, starting from €80 per person. For the final bouquet, the restaurant Les 110 de Taillevent is located across the street, with a wine menu featuring 1,200 products and the possibility of enjoying Grands Crus by the glass.
