If you like contemporary art and are lucky enough to stay in Paris on the 3rd weekend of October, do not miss the 45th edition of the International Contemporary Art Fair. This major autumn event will indeed be held from October 18th to 21st, in the French capital, under the magnificent glass-domed roof of the Grand Palais.
The iconic museum has played host to the event since 1977, even though it has been held first in 1974 at the former Bastille station. Today, FIAC can boast about being one of the largest international fairs for contemporary art. This year, 193 galleries of modern art, contemporary art and design from 25 countries (such as France, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, etc.) will be exposed within the prestigious halls of the Grand Palais. A great opportunity to discover the best of artistic creation thanks to an exacting exhibitors’ selection, who are among the most emblematic of the international scene.
With FIAC Projects, FIAC will also be present on Winston Churchill Avenue and at the Petit Palais. Finally, FIAC will also offer an artistic outdoor parcours through FIAC Hors les Murs. From the Tuileries Garden, to Place Vendôme and the Eugène Delacroix Museum, including Place de la Concorde, contemporary art enters some of the most remarkable places in the City of Light.
